A Crazy Idea

So what's the big idea about 1/1? Seems like astrologers, astronomers, Mayan priests, Persian sages, Chinese scholars . . . well, lots of people disagree about when to celebrate the beginning of a new calendar period. It's currently the Hebrew/Jewish year 5784, the Muslim year 1445, the Chinese Year of the Rabbit, etc.


Confused yet? No problem. Many of us follow the Gregorian calendar, and 1/1 marks the beginning of 2024.


So, what's the big idea about 1/1? That's really up to you. Let's start with a crossword puzzle, shall we?
